Smart Contract Architect – Digital Securities / Fixed Income Tokenization
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Smart Contract Architect to lead the design and architecture of a blockchain-based platform for regulated digital asset issuance and lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in smart contract architecture, security tokenization, compliance-enabled digital assets, and blockchain-based capital markets solutions. Experience with fixed income instruments such as bonds and digital securities is highly desirable.
The Architect will be responsible for defining smart contract interfaces, token standards, administrative controls, compliance frameworks, security considerations, and overall blockchain architecture.
Required Skills
- 12+ years of overall software engineering experience with at least 6+ years in Blockchain and Smart Contract Architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and reviewing smart contracts on Ethereum or similar blockchain platforms.
- Deep expertise in Solidity and smart contract development patterns.
- Experience designing security token, digital securities, or asset tokenization solutions.
- Strong understanding of regulated token frameworks and compliance-enabled token architectures.
- Experience implementing or architecting:
- KYC/AML controls
- Investor whitelisting
- Transfer restrictions
- Compliance enforcement mechanisms
- Administrative controls and governance workflows
- Experience defining smart contract interfaces, contract lifecycle management, access control models, and upgradeability strategies.
- Strong understanding of blockchain security best practices, threat modeling, and smart contract risk mitigation.
- Experience working with Ethereum, Polygon, or similar EVM-compatible blockchain platforms.
- Strong knowledge of tokenization platforms, digital asset ecosystems, and blockchain-based financial products.
- Ability to work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, engineers, and compliance teams to translate business requirements into scalable blockchain solutions.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with tokenized bonds, fixed income products, or digital securities platforms.
- Experience with security token standards and frameworks such as ERC-1400, ERC-3643, or equivalent regulated token implementations.
- Experience with blockchain-based capital markets solutions.
- Familiarity with custody solutions, digital asset management platforms, and institutional blockchain ecosystems.
- Experience with smart contract auditing, security reviews, and formal verification methodologies.
- Knowledge of secondary market trading workflows, settlement processes, and digital asset lifecycle management.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the overall smart contract architecture for regulated digital asset issuance and lifecycle management.
- Design token models, contract interfaces, and blockchain interaction patterns.
- Define compliance frameworks including KYC, AML, whitelisting, transfer restrictions, and regulatory controls.
- Design administrative capabilities such as token issuance, redemption, pause/freeze controls, and governance workflows.
- Collaborate with business, compliance, and engineering teams to define platform capabilities and technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to Smart Contract Engineers and development teams.
- Review smart contract implementations for scalability, security, maintainability, and regulatory compliance.
- Establish smart contract development standards, security practices, and deployment governance.
- Support solution design discussions with client stakeholders and provide architectural recommendations.
