About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned Citrix Infrastructure Engineer who can take ownership of our Citrix environment and collaborate closely with the DevOps team to automate and modernize the setup. The role requires deep Citrix infra knowledge along with working familiarity in IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and enhance the Citrix infrastructure, including core components such as NetScaler, VDA, StoreFront, Delivery Controllers, and supporting infra.
- Redesign, rebuild, and refresh the Citrix environment (currently 3–4 years old) to align with enterprise standards.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Translate Citrix infra requirements into automation workflows, supporting periodic redeployment of Citrix farms.
- Perform dependency impact assessments when upgrading or refreshing core Citrix components (e.g., NetScaler major/minor upgrades).
- Support vulnerability remediation by ensuring infra is up to date with latest secure versions.
- Collaborate with internal Citrix SMEs and BAU support teams for knowledge alignment and smooth transition of operations.
- Provide hands-on RCA and propose improvements/mitigations for Citrix infra issues.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years of strong hands-on experience with Citrix infrastructure (NetScaler, VDA, StoreFront, Delivery Controllers, Citrix Cloud/On-Prem).
- Proven experience building, managing, and troubleshooting Citrix farms in enterprise environments.
- Good understanding of automation/IaC tools – Terraform or CloudFormation (ability to understand, review, and contribute to scripts/packages).
- Exposure to cloud-hosted Citrix deployments (AWS EC2-based setups preferred).
- Ability to collaborate with DevOps teams to automate infra refresh cycles and machine rotations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to propose and implement solutions.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to GitHub Actions, pipelines, or equivalent CI/CD tooling.
- Experience in integrating Citrix infra with enterprise security tools/processes.
- Prior experience in infra modernization/refresh programs.
